It’s the busiest weekend of the year for Gray Leadbetter Racing, as one of off-road’s rising young talents has her name in action on two separate continents this weekend. While Leadbetter herself returns to Extreme E action with Legacy Motor Club in Scotland for the Hydro X-Prix, her boyfriend, Nitro Circus FMX star Banksy, will take the wheel of the #28 Partzilla Pro SXS for Championship Off-Road action at ERX Motor Park. While Banksy competes in Rounds 7 and 8 of the COR season on Friday and Saturday, Leadbetter, Legacy Motor Club, and her new teammate Patrick O’Donovan will go for glory in the third and fourth rounds of the Extreme E season on Saturday and Sunday.
“This is going to be an incredibly fun weekend for both Banks and me,” said Leadbetter. “Even though I’m bummed I can’t be in two places at once this weekend, I’m thrilled to be back behind the wheel in Extreme E with Legacy Motor Club and Patrick as my new teammate. And I know that Banksy will do a great job behind the wheel for Partzilla as we keep making strides on our program!”

Leadbetter’s return to Extreme E comes nearly five months after the season opened in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia for the Desert X-Prix. There, she teamed up with action sports legend and mentor Travis Pastrana in the team’s first Extreme E race, winning the Continental Traction Challenge on the second day of racing and fighting all weekend long with Pastrana’s friend and rival, Mattias Ekstrom.
This weekend’s Hydro X-Prix is a vast departure from the desert, as the series returns to a former coal mine site in Scotland. Each day’s action will be carried on tape delay on FS2 later that night. More importantly, be sure to vote for Gray and Patrick in Extreme E GRIDPLAY to ensure that they have the best possible spots on the grid all weekend long!

Back stateside, Banksy returns to racing just months after an impressive performance in the Nitrocross season finale in Las Vegas. There, he fought for podiums all weekend long, as he and Leadbetter closed out the weekend on the podium together in second and third. As Leadbetter competes in Scotland, Banksy will look to push the #28 car further up the running order and be able to offer a fresh set of notes for the rookie team to build upon later this season.
ERX Off-Road National practice and qualifying will run at 12:10PM and 3:10PM on Thursday, while races will take place at 5:45PM on Friday and 4:45PM on Saturday. Tickets are still available, while live streaming will be available on FloRacing.
